About Us

The University of Ottawa Tennis Club (UOTC) is the University of Ottawa’s bilingual tennis club, open to all current University of Ottawa students.

Whether you’ve never picked up a tennis racket, are looking to improve your game, or want to compete at the university level, there’s a place for you at UOTC. Our club is composed of the Gee-Gees Varsity Tennis Team and three recreational divisions designed for different skill levels: Division 1 (Advanced), Division 2 (Intermediate), and Division 3 (Beginner).

Each year, we hold tryouts for new members. Our coaching staff evaluates every player to determine whether they are best suited for the Varsity team or one of our recreational divisions, ensuring that everyone can develop and enjoy the sport at the appropriate level.

“Our mission is to promote the sport of tennis by getting people to pick up a tennis racket and learn to play the sport we love. With a thriving and passionate tennis community, we are committed to supporting students in their journey to discover and embrace the game of tennis.”

UOTC Executives

At UOTC, we take pride in the diversity of our members. Our club brings together students from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and personal backgrounds, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment both on and off the court. As the University of Ottawa’s bilingual tennis club, we are committed to ensuring that members can participate comfortably in both English and French.
